Keith — You should travel given that you’re still so young. Rather than rent an apartment I would find people who don’t mind you crashing for a few months and splitting costs. I would do that before you just take off. Especially if you’re going abroad. Customs is a bitch, good luck getting through all that shit if you don’t tell them exactly where you’re going and staying.

That’s what a lot of people have suggested, but I guess I just really like the idea of *living* in those cities. Having my own place (or renting one) instead of just doing a couch surfing thing across the world.

And yeah, I already anticipate the customs problem, but that’s fine. I anticipate having all of my residences worked out before I get to that place!
